The song title, author information, and
copyright notice would appear at the top of the first page of
a lead sheet. Drafts made on 10 stave paper are easier to read
than those on 12 stave paper. For lead sheets used in recording
sessions or brain storming sessions where computer generation
and printouts are not at one's fingertips, it may be easier if
the melody notes and rests are done in pencil, so mistakes and
changes can be easily erased and corrected. The lyrics should
be computer printed, typed, or neatly hand printed under their
appropriate notes. Chord symbols would be placed above the melody
