And 'The Dream'... your dream, goes something like this:

A song comes on the radio. As it plays, you think back to when that very song was just a heavenly melody streaming through your head.

Then, the DJ's voice interrupts your thought pattern…

"What a Song! At the Top of the Charts Now for 21 Straight Weeks. Boy! I'd like to have a Piece of That Action!!"

Then your thought changes…and you think back to the 'good old days' before you were getting that steady stream of royalty checks…

What a bummer those days were!

Then, all of a sudden your roommate starts shaking you..."Wake up! Wake Up!...You left the TV on all night and it melted the cheese from the piece of pizza you left out!"

Then you open one eye and roll off the couch in a daze. As you stagger forward, you trip over several half empty beer bottles and cut your foot on a bottle cap...ouch! The dream is suddenly over and your roommate walks into the kitchen just shaking his head.

You grab your prize 1969 D-41 Martin and put it back in its case. And so ends another long, well into the night, songwriting session.

If any of this rings a bell, you are for sure a bona fide songwriter!

The problem is, 'bona fide' and 'professional' are not one in the same. This is because anyone who has written a song is a bona fide songwriter, while it is only the person who is getting paid for his songs that is the professional.

Yes, those sweet royalty checks make all the difference!

And herein lies the matter at hand...are those homeward bound royalty checks a reality, or Still Just A Pipe Dream?

Let's get serious for a minute. The fact is, there are many songwriters living that dream right now! (They are the ones driving the new Corvettes.)

The problem is that countless songwriters think "making it" just happens. However, the truth is, that particular scenario only happens in the movies. And if you get nothing else from reading this, get this: Songwriters who wheelbarrow the money to the bank "make it big" because they themselves TAKE ACTION!!

Here's the point: No one is going to walk up and simply hand you a publishing deal. Nor are they going to make your 'break out' move for you. And the hard reality is, if any songwriter continues to do the same things they've always been doing, they will continue living with the same results. And you can take that fact to the bank!

 

So, let's make sense of the situation at hand...Hopefully by now you have paid your dues to the extent where you are able to see beyond your own corner of the world and come to realize this truth: It will be those who have gone before who are best suited to open new doors for you. They are the ones who can boldly proclaim, "Been there, done that."

And because they have been there, they have already made the inside connections that are sorely needed to bring success. (Emphasis on the sorely.)

That's right, it will take a true 'insider' to bring about the career success your own hard work deserves. Yes, the people with inside connections are the ones who can hook you up and flat out accelerate your career into the big time!

The point being, if you are going to have success in the songwriting business, you yourself must make this type of connection. The good news is, the payoff and benefit to your songwriting career can be enormous!

Fact: One song can actually bring you royalty checks for the rest of your life!

Fact: There WILL BE 'That Next Big Chart Busting Hit Song.'

  

And, here is the bottom line truth...the person who writes that song may as well be YOU!

Wouldn't it be great to start cashing those sweet sweet royalty checks and fulfill that dream of hearing your own music on the radio?

It can happen.

There is no better time than today to make new choices...because those who have already made it were, only a short time ago, dreaming the same dream you are dreaming today.

Yes, your dream is most definitely within reach. So, now is the time to break out!
